6/13

Today we are meeting with my middle school friends for lunch and dinner. They purposely picked a restaurant that is in walking distance from where we are staying: Lira Street 6.

These ladies were all very curious about Bogdan and they asked questions and listened and the boys had a great time talking to them!

After lunch, we rode the Metro (MRT) to Qizhang Station then walked to CarreFour which Bogdan said they have in Romania as well. CarreFour is kinda like Walmart where you can buy groceries and all the other necessities for your daily life.

Catherine and I saw the famous Poya across the street and the boys decided to go their separate ways since we all wanted to explore different places.

Poya is kinda like a Sephora and a Daiso/Teso combined. We spent about an hour in Poya and found lots of stationary!

Then we walked across the street to Yes! Life YuLong City!

YuLong City is a shopping center that is about 3 years old. Catherine has been talking about shopping in Taiwan and Japan so this is where she wanted to see the most. After we got to the 2nd floor, Catherine bought 2 pairs of shoes! Her legs were tired so we went straight to the book store on the 4th floor and got lots of mechanical pencils and gel pens and called it quits.

The boys met up with us in front of SuHung (Shanghai cuisine) and they were right on time. it looked like Bogdan shopped away as well.

Renee was another one of my middle school friends. We had dinner with her and her family. Pony, her oldest daughter, is finishing 5th grade, and Phoebee, her youngest, is finishing kindergarten!

After dinner, James mentioned that there were 2 hoodies that he wanted to get but ran out of cash so we all went with him to visit the stand for "X-Ctrl." It is a local brand and the hoodies that caught James's eyes were made out of suede. The colors were very nice too! The clothing stores in Taiwan constantly have deals where you get discounts when you buy more than one so we got both the pink and beige hoodie. It was the best deal out of all the purchases among the 3 teenagers!
