The boys started playing volleyball after school when school business was winding down. They made quite a few new friends through volleyball. And coincidently, one of these volleyball friends, Leon (from Flower Mound High School) happened to be in Taipei these few days that we are too, so they arranged to play some indoor volleyball together. Leon's cousins helped him made a reservation at Power Frog Volleyball Hall from 9am to 12pm. and their plan was to play 3 hours of indoor volleyball then have lunch together. They may explore the city a little bit together afterwards.
Power Frog Volleyball Hall isn't a place that we can easily get to. I guess you can say that it's located in a more rural area on the outskirts of Taipei?! Claire was very nice and offered to take the boys there so they didn't have to leave really early and spend time and energy to figure out all the logistics.
Bogdan said they had a lot of fun and afterwards they had some Korea tofu soup.
While the boys were out play volleyball. Catherine said she wanted to shop at the Xiaobitan Station and have lunch there so that was what we did.
After lunch, it was errand time for me again! My documents for Mainland Travel Permit were not enough so the Travel Agency asked me to request more documents from New Taipei City Xindian District Office. I searched on the bus app and found the closest bus from Tangquan that would get me there, then I texted Papa TJ to tell him that I will take care of the documents today. Tomorrow is a holiday in Taiwan so we have to get all the documents collected and sent over to the Travel Agency today! But I guess Papa TJ didn't have enough trust in me because when the bus stopped at the stop by his apartment, he got on the bus. 😒
The lady who helped us had to physically go through my files to see what documents qualify for my Mainland Travel Permit. It took a while and she found the next best thing (?). By the time we were ready to get from New Taipei City Xindian District office to the MRT, it was storming outside. But we were on a time crunch, so we had to go in the pouring rain. The Travel Agency took the document and we could only cross our fingers to help it would work. I guess we would find out mid-week next week.
It took me 3 and a half hours to request one piece of document, get it to the Travel Agency, then back home.
Meanwhile, the boys finished their lunch and went their separate ways from Leon to come back to meet up with us because we planned to visit the night market. Leon's cousins kinda told James what bus to take and how to get to MRT then they should be able to get home from there. Well... James's Chinese is not as good as he had hoped for so after falling asleep on the bus, Bogdan had no idea what stop they were supposed to get off. Long story short, it took the boys 2 hours to get home.
